Gunning Fireworks

Gunning must be the only place where you can experience a display of fireworks nearly as big as Sydney’s New Year’s Eve. Huddled around a fire lit 44 gallon drum, the skies fill with every firework available. The crackers get bigger as the night gets longer. During the final minutes the sky is covered with fireworks and the explosions shudder through your body. Kids’ eyes get bigger; heads tilt back, and shrieks of amazement echo through the hills. Held at Gunning Golf Course, Gundaroo Rd., Gunning. Starts after dark, gates open after 5pm.
